The future is here
Went to a great exhibition at the Design Museum called The Future is Here, all about mass production in the industrialised world and what it might become in the computer/3D printing age... The curation and exhibition design was also great, all the stands were made from laser cut laminated cardboard. My dad is annoyed that the manufacturing industry is closing down. I keep trying to tell him it's just CHANGING. Next revolution anyone?

Eat your heart out New York City
On my recent trip to New York, I attempted to try out as much as possible of the food on offer. Mostly bagels, cupcakes and mac 'n cheese ... But, also a delicious hibiscus ice lolly/popsicle on the highline - dripping all over me in the heat!

James Turrell works his magic
Californian lighting artist, James Turrell took over the whole whole famous atrium at the Guggenheim with this lighting installation. Gradually changing colours and intensity, you weren't quite sure if it was your eyes, magic or something magical. Turrell's work is ethereal, he says he thinks of it as spiritual and lying on the floor looking up at this installation, I would say that's certainly how it felt. Such an amazing experience...
