Bike wheel animation

This designer Katy Beveridge has come up with ingenious designs using bicycles. Basically, she made paper cutouts and when the bike is ridden the movement makes an animated effect!

Net-A-Porter offices

I've just been out to the Net-A-Porter and Mr Porter offices in West London. They are in the Westfield shopping centre at Shepherd's Bush (the new Eastern version is opening very soon too!) and are very swanky and new. Lovely black and white decor, although I must say, a bit disappointing to see already peeled paint and broken pieces considering they have only been in there since March this year! Still lovely and quite decadent thought :-)

Can you believe this is made entirely of...

Post-its!? A whole of Post-it notes stuck together to form "blocks" that are then stacked up to create a wall. Pretty cool hey? Sculpture by Yo Shimada. Source: www.designboom.com

Summer in East London

I love Summer in East London... Canals, festivals, art, bikes, grass... and sometimes a beer or two!

Lavazza 40-love

Just as we are getting over Rafa's loss in the Wimbledon finals, I wanted to reflect on a great campaign that featured all over London during the tournament... I think M&M definitely scored with the Lavazza sponsorship campaign. It's the one poster I noticed in the tube during the tennis (and trust me there can be an overload!), because I think the print graphic particularly was so clever and striking. Simple too. Basically they made a coffee bean into a tennis ball.

Evian campaign

Just kinda think this campaign and art direction from Evian is a really nice idea. Not sure bottled water will make you younger, but well done design team on this one!

This graffiti art caught my eye today whilst on my way to get coffee near my house in North London.

Pantone cookies = brilliant!

As a gift to her clients, designer Kim Neill thought up a fitting idea: PANTONE chip cookies.

This is such a rad idea, but I can't believe she spent such a long time mixing and matching all those swatches... that's dedication! I hope her clients appreciated all her hard work...
